We celebrated the festival of colour; Holi. The festival of colours, Holi, is the most vibrant of all Hindu festivals. It marks the end of winter in India and welcomes the spring season. On this festive day, people play with colours, meet and greet one another and create new beginnings.
The children wore all white and ran around decorating each other and staff with water and an array of colourful paint. They had the best time and were covered from head to toe in colour and of course a big smile for the rest of the day.
For St Patricks day the children listened to Irish music, learned about leprechauns and even made a special trap to try and catch their very own leprechaun. However, the leprechaun couldn’t be contained and escaped although he did leave his gold behind which the children loved to see in the morning.
