Map Your Local Wildlife

Day 28 of our 30 Days Wild Challenge was to map your local wildlife.

The children sat down as a group and drew a map of the nursery. We spoke about what wildlife we’ve found during bug hunts, while caring for our garden and what wildlife has visited our area recently.

We’ve seen and known that woodlouse, worms, spiders and snails live in our woods, forest and fairy garden. We’ve seen bees, birds and butterflies visit our yard and know that worms live in our garden beds. Everyone then drew their own maps of where they had found wildlife recently. It was lovely to see maps of the park, children’s houses and garden as well as our nursery. If you’ve done this challenge at home, please share how you completed it through learning journals. We would love to see it!
